Blueberry Collectibles And Decorating A Room
Blueberry collectibles are a great way
to take your favorite collection and create a great look
for you to enjoy. What comes to mind when you think of this fruit?
Is it a fun and bright kitchen, a sun room or something else?
I love using a few favorite collectibles and making
them come to life. The beauty of doing this type of decorating is it can
be done in a home, condo, apartment, beach house, camp setting or even an office area. The
collection below came from a very special state that produces some of
the best tasting blueberries,
Maine! As a child I grew up going
on our summer vacation to the Maine coast. My parents up until my mom
passed away in the year 2000 would continue to vacation in Maine. My mom
had started buying these collectibles for me that you see below.
Take a closer look at a couple of the pieces, and see how the blueberries are subtle, yet
present an eloquent look.
Taking any of your collectibles and creating a room may sound a little
challenging, but a great way to plan for this decor is to look at
your colors in each collectable. The base color in these collectables
have a gray tone, as well as the blueberries being in a dark yet
rich tone of blue. Here are a couple of ideas on using a few colors.
This first photo shows you a rich blue tone that blends well with
the collection. The room can be painted in this blue tone, with
the bottom color in this picture used for the trim or woodwork. The
circles represent different tones that may be in your wood that would
blend well with the entire color scheme. You could bring in a secondary
color if you want using this color scheme, but be careful it doesn't
overpower your focal point of your collection.

The second photo brings a softer look to the room. The lighter shade
will brighten up the room. This is where if you paint the walls
with a lighter tone, you can use a deep color to accent the walls
with your trim or woodwork. I have mentioned this before in another
page, but one key to interior decorating is to know what colors
are in your base paint you paint your walls with. Most colors
have different color pigmentation added to the main base color.
This is the variety of colors you see in paint samples. Knowing
what colors are added to the base, can help you plan a well
balanced room. Notice in the first picture how I have used
a deeper blue color for a secondary color to bring out the
color of the blueberries. The second photo shows you a little
different blue tone that I used that actually blends well
with the trim or woodwork color.
Now with a collection like this, you may be wondering what room
would you put something like these collectable in? With a taste of eloquence, a dining room or
a formal kitchen would be a great idea. You can branch off of this blueberry collection and
give the room a country flare with a baskets, an arrangement of artificial fruit, and even
a couple of live blueberry container plants. Consider some stripes or plaids. In the
camp page, the
blueberry theme could work well with the camp theme also.
Another idea for you using the blueberry theme is to think of the coast. In the summer
months for instance, Maine is a hopping tourist place. In my other Web site, landscape-solutions-for-you,
there are a couple of pages that may give you some ideas how to incorporate some photos with this
particular theme.
Maine and its glorious sunrises,
and
Scenic natural landscapes along the coast of Maine,
will show you some of the beauty that can be accented with the collection being the focal point of the room.
This theme page gives you a little different look using the blueberries in a rich and
eloquent way. Do you have any decorating tips for others with a fruit theme. Feel free to
tell us about your decorating tips, along with photo if you want. I hope this page
gives you a little insight on how to take a small collection and create a room that
you and your family can enjoy for years to come.
