broken ceramic tile

I have a 6 x 8 ceramic tile with a picture my 6 year old daughter drew. It fell and broke into 5-6 pieces and there is no glue that will now hold it together. I was thinking of possibly gluing the tile to something else, with wood being the best idea I can think of. Any other ideas?

Hi Seth, Kimberly here from interior decorating ideas for you. Thank you for asking the question on how to come up with a solution for the broken tile. I know this picture means a lot to you. When tile breaks, sometimes it is almost impossible to glue back. Here are a couple of suggestions for you.

I assume the picture is on the tile itself, you can purchase a bigger tile and have the larger tile act as a frame.

One option I like is to think about putting the picture in a shadow box. This will give you a dimensional look. This may be a good solution.

You could glue the picture and tile to a piece of wood if possible.
