Cafe Coyote In San Diego California

San Diego Goes To Howl Cafe Coyote is located in Mission Valley, in Old Town. I was in charge of an SBI conference out in San Diego, and Tom and I got a change to have a couple of days after the conference to see Old Town, Balboa Park and the famous San Diego Zoo. As a designer I was totally blown out of the water when we walked through the streets of Old Town. Shops, places to sit and relax with your favorite drink, and the architect. What I didn't anticipate was the fantastic colors and interior design in the wonderful restaurant called, Cafe Coyote. The restaurant is sprawled out and has downstairs indoor sections and an upstairs.

Immediately when you arrive you are not only greeted in a friendly manner by the hostess, the atmosphere has been created through music, decor, and food to put you in the magical setting of Mexican tradition and style.

Tom and I decided to sit indoors and when we walked through the entrance I became engulfed by the interior decor and superior art display. Picture walking into a restaurant with blue sky and clouds painted on the ceiling.

Clayton's Painting Magic

Once we were seated we became totally aware of the masterpieces of creativity that surrounded us. I sat for awhile in awe of the paintings and how simple yet detailed they were there at the Cafe Coyote. After being greeted and taking our drink order by a nice young waiter, the excitement took over. We had the waitress bring over the manager, Carolyn Soltero. She was very prompt and polite, as we wanted to talk about the decor and artist.

Mexican Music At Its Best
We asked if Tom could take some photos, as I knew I wanted to share them with all of you. Not only did he do the Cafe Coyote, he is presently very busy in the entire state of California painting and creating for other establishments.

Sit back and relax and picture yourself sipping on your favorite beverage and engrossed in the taste and smell of great Mexican cuisine.

Mexican Tile And Wood Stairs
I loved the combination of the wood and tile on the stairs. Both materials create the look and feel of Mexico and the rich tradition and heritage. The stairs are feel flowing and also takes you to another area of the restaurant. Lots of room, music, great decor, and relaxation.

Singing Coyote
Each painting represents the theme of the restaurant as well as the atmosphere and colors of Mexico. As you look at the colors in each painting, think of the tropical and Caribbean colors. Bright and warm! Also look how he blends his colors to match and balance each and every painting. An artist working with color tones is no different then you designing your interior rooms. Foundation color, complimentary tones, and balance. You can head over to the site navigator and see some other pages that will give you ideas for colors, accessories and more.

Great Spirits And Great Time
Now as far as Cafe Coyote's menu, you can get any Mexican appetizer you could think of as well as entree. I personally can't not eat much spicy food, and the waitress took this into account and brought me the basics without any spice for my entree. The food was delicious and between the interior decor and total balance of the restaurant, that evening will be very memorable for Tom and I.

The Dancing Senorita
Another aspect of our two days of touring was our trip to the San Diego Botanical Gardens. I just got done with a page on my other website, landscape solutions for you in the learning center called, California - San Diego Botanical Gardens. You will also see the delightful plants specimens in the gardens. Feel free to look at this page as well as any other in both of my sites. If you haven't had a chance to visit the Cafe Coyote in San Diego, here is a link to their website where you can see the menu and learn more about this colorful and festive restaurant.
