Candles And Holders Create A Great Addition To A Room
Candles create wonderful accessories in any room. Today they come in all sizes,
shapes, and colors. Here at interior-decorating-ideas-for-you, I share in many pages the general
rule of thumb of placing items on shelves or other areas in odd numbers. This is true of this
accessory also. I wanted to share with you a little different thoughts on bringing your candles
into rooms that blend in with your colors and
theme.

During the holiday season,
Christmas Candles add so much
to any room.
I love using the tall holders in different rooms. To me they look wonderful in a corner next to furniture, or by another accent. I actually have about five different tall holders throughout the house. Our younger daughter loves using this type of holder in her room with the stars and moon theme. ![]() ![]() Ah, the beach house or Caribbean style and decorating. As you know, this is one of my favorite themes to use in decorating. Bright colors, festive atmosphere, and an overall warm feeling to any room. I love the different tones in the holders as you can accent many different colors in your foundation paint, other accents and accessories. Change out the tea candles periodically with different colors. Think about adding a few sea shells or drift wood around them. A set of five in total would look charming. This decorative dish is very special to me. I love using it as a focal point in a room. The holder is from my parents 40th wedding anniversary party. If you haven't read a few pages on my mom, she passed about in 2000. The treasures she left my three sisters and myself are displayed in all our living spaces. Any color will work with this dish and I like the idea of putting a three tone scent and color candle accessory on the dish. An attractive dish like this works great. ![]()
This picture is a close up of an old holder I had around the house. I put it away as I could see the rust
developing on it. When sorting through some old things, I came across this and was ready to give it away. I do
like using the rust look of
holders and candles with an old and nostalgic decor. I decided to give the holder a new look. Bought a can of black spray paint for under two dollars. Spray painting it took me less then five minutes. Bought five new candles for under $10.00 at a discount shop, and here it is, a simple and new look. ![]() ![]() The new look is crisp and clean and gives the holder an eloquent flair. I put five glass base candles to each round holder. Notice the color scheme I used. The big one is in the center and the only two tone one. Tan and white bring out the neutral tones of the room. The smaller ones are light and darker orange, which blend in with the paint, furniture, and other accessories. I also like a little variation in positioning the candles on the holders. I reversed each side color wise to give it a little different look. The entire holder is still balanced. ![]() All white or other complimentary colors would add a lot to this accessory. Great for a center piece on a table, or a main accent table.
This is just a few simple ideas for you. This accessory create such a great
atmosphere in a room and to me, I have them all over the house. Many different sizes, shapes, and colors
gives your living space a unique look that represents you.
