![]() Decorating With PlantsThere are so many different varieties of live specimens to choose from, as well as a large selection of colorful pots and containers that will fit well in your living space. One of the most important aspects of selecting inside flowers or foliage is to make sure they are not poisonous to humans or animals. There are some species that can be harmful to children and domestic animals. ![]() ![]() There are other ornaments that will work with this and other theme base rooms. A simple idea that creates a great accent in any room. A first step is to plan an area that will suit your plants. Know what plants need full sun and what can ones can take filtered sun light or shaded areas. Some people that live in apartments or condos run into the problem of not having enough sunlight in rooms. Know what light requirements are needed for the specimens. Watering your plants is very important and getting on a watering schedule is as important inside as it is outside. Watering and lighting constitutes healthy indoor specimens. Another aspect to think about is what type of heat, air, and humidity you have in your living space. Each of these factors affect a plants growing patterns and health. Learn about each indoor plant you have or want to purchase. Washing the leaves of some specimens helps with keeping the plant looking nice. ![]() If you have carpet, tile, one piece, or hard woods, compliment your floors with matching tones from the planter. Ceramic is a nice option for an interior room. If you have whimsical, tropical - beach, or camping-cabin theme, there are many different planters available for you. ![]() ![]() The next two planters are unique and I think each of them represent a great theme to any room. I just love the shoe planter and can be done by cutting holes in the spots where you want the plants to go. I recommend putting something underneath the shoe to protect your floors. Herbs or flowers will add a lot to the shoe, and also your decor. The Tortoise planter is one of my favorites. I collect tortoises as it is a symbol of my online business. The tortoise planter can be put on the floor, or accent or accessory table. Notice the flowers in the planter, you could easily do herbs, cactus, or a small upright evergreen shrub. Create a little magic with using your own personality. ![]() ![]() Sometimes this can be a challenge to find the right styles to blend in with your other decor, as well as the right size. Below are three simple illustrations of a few ways you can position your pots or containers. ![]() Remember to use odd numbers and if you don't have the room for five, use just one or three. If you use one, add a couple of other small accessories to balance the accent table. ![]() There are different options for you to consider when doing a triangle form. Put three stands in the triangle form. Play around with different formations until you see the result that will best suit your room. ![]() The five series shows you how to stagger the containers to give the accent some character. I like the idea of using different specimens that will add some zest to the room. A kitchen with and odd number of herb specimens is great not only for cooking, but also for a natural setting. You can also use spice plants in pots. Artificial Palm Trees can also accent your rooms. These colors can compliment live plants as well. There are so many different possibilities using indoor plants to create a wonderful accent to your rooms. From the large foliage specimens such as a Rubber, Blue Ginger, to a Spider or Philodendron, the vibrant leaves will add so much to any interior decor. The flowers from an African Violet, Gerber Daisy, or Christmas Cactus can blend in with so many color schemes. Plants add so much to an interior room and a great addition to your decor.
