We all know children at any age change their minds on a lot of different topics as they explore and the world continues to share new experiences for them. As a mother of two grown daughters that have been through their own decorating stages throughout their earlier years. Themes, colors, accents, and accessories are all part of creating a warm and inviting place for your child. Colors for kids can range from the primary shades, to soft pastel tones.

I will be writing pages in this section on different ideas for a wide variety of ages. I will share some funky decorating ideas with you. This is not just ideas for little children. Pre-teens, teen-agers and any age can read and also contribute here. I look at myself as sometimes a kid at heart. I have always love stuffed animals and still use a variety of these little critters in decorating different rooms. I played sports when I was young, and love to incorporate some different sports themes in room, especially when my favorite teams make the play offs. Outdoors is another great idea for young people to use with colors or a theme. Our girls were in dancing for awhile and love music, and I also used these ideas for accessories in rooms.

I want it to be plan and simple but with color and I want to use the things i have already

I, as well as others will be looking forward to hearing from you. There are so many
different possible ideas and themes now a days. One of my main goals when my girls
were younger was to let them as much as possible express and develop their own
p
ersonality, likes and dislikes.
Inside decorating is one way to do this. I remember each of the girls going from one thing to the next with their favorite colors and their favorite themes. Ah, I remember the purple Lilac room, the bold flowers, a stark white room, hum, that one didn't stay that long. One of the things I did was give them the option of different colors over a period of time. Also, to save a little money instead of constantly changing colors, I would change out the comforter or bedspread. The girls sometimes had a summer comforter and a winter one. This gave them a new look every once in awhile. Kids have a wonderful way of changing their minds and what they like or don't like anymore. Well, kids, young people and anyone else, now its time to share with us what you want right now, and how we can help you learn about some easy steps to take your room and make it just how you want it.
