Question on Textured Ceiling

Hi, I have a textured ceiling and I am worried that it could be the popcorn that contain asbestos. Who can contact and how will I know what the correct name for my ceiling finish style?

Hi Diana, Kimberly here from interior-decorating-ideas for you. Thank you for asking the question on your textured ceiling. If you know the contractor or person that installed the ceiling contact them to find out when they installed the ceiliing. If you don't know the name, there are two options. You can contact your local government and see if they have someone that can come out and check the ceiling. Another option is to have a contractor come out and look at the ceiling. Many professional contractors can determine how old the ceiling is. You bring up a very good concern, and I hope you are able to get the answer. There may be different regulations in the United Kingdom compared to the United States. Asbestos can be determined by government agencies or private contractors.
