Three floor coverings flowing together

My entry is joined to my living room on one side and a hallway on another side. The entry is tiled. The living room and hallway are carpeted at this time. I would like to put wood laminate in the hallway as well as some other rooms in my home. Since the hallway is connected to the entry, will I need to put the laminate in the entry also, to keep it from looking funky? There would be three different floor coverings coming together in on area.

Three floor coverings flowing together
by: Kimberly

Hi Shirley, Kimberly here from interior decorating ideas for you. Thank you for asking the question on your three floor coverings.

The main goal is you want the floors that are joining together to blend in tones. Yes, you can put wood against tile. What color tones are in your tile? Does your tile have gold - yellow tones, neutral tones in the brown family, or other color tones? You can try and match or compliment your tile with picking out wood tones that will work with your title.

I have done consultations and different houses we have lived in and connected tile with wood. It is doable and could look great. Feel free to send a photo of your tile and would be happy to help you. Thanks again Shirley for asking the question. Feel free to ask anytime. Good luck to you and look forward to hearing what you decide. Have a great day!
Kimberly
