Christmas tree decorating and all the excitement of this wonderful holiday season is here. It seems like
every year the holidays approach us so fast. Before we know it we are all running around buying and wrapping presents,
preparing favorite holiday recipes, and low and behold, decorating for the special Christmas season.
Our family is rich in
tradition of fully decorating our homes. I wanted to share with you some of the things we do in our home to make the holiday
season on of family tradition and also bring our home to life.
Decorative lights, garland, and so much more make up our decorating.
This is a time of year I love to put on a little creativity and bring the warmth of Christmas right into our home.
I love real
trees and to me even though a little sap may drip on the floor, the smell and feeling of that old time Christmas is with us
every year.

The gold star on the top of the Christmas tree is a tradition that has been around for a long time.
The red and white striped ornaments
compliments the gold star. A simple way to decorate during the holidays using three colors.
The gold and white ornaments represent a more formal look. Gold with green shades compliment each other nicely.
I love the miniature
white lights. The lights are great accents to the two colored ornaments. Miniature lights create a background look and don't over power
your ornaments.
Silver and blue are great combinations for your holiday decorating. White gives the silver and blue and great clean and crisp look.
Garland throughout creates a new dimension, and cost savings for you.
I even like the idea of doing one room in gold and green tones,
and another room in the blue and silver shades. The different colors in each room gives a unique appearance.
Bring a little festive tones into your holiday season with orange ornaments. The bright orange tones can also create a tropical, beach,
or even Mexican theme.
Don't be afraid to go away from the traditional holiday colors. Use the colors you and your family enjoy. A little
feel of the tropics can bring warmth during the colder holiday months.
The two Christmas bears come to life this time of year. I have many Christmas stuffed animals and love displaying them throughout the
house.
This particular decoration is very easy to put together. I put a red placement underneath the bears and the red decorative holiday
tin. This creates a great balance with the color of the bears clothes.
I added a little artificial Pointsettia to the tin, and top it off
with greenery around the bears and tin. I put this decoration in different locations every year. It can go on a end table, the floor,
an old sled or other accent. A small bench will work great displaying the bears and tin.
The first picture shows you a close up of the bears and tin. Notice the deep rich green color in their outfits. The
green leaves of the tin match
perfectly. There is also a small amount of gold glitter on the bears outfits.
The second photo adds another blending
dimension with garland around the greenery.
The gold garland creates a balanced look in this small holiday decoration.
Of course this particular decoration could be done in any style room, but can also looks great in a
country theme or in a mountain
cabin with a natural tree setting outside.
